Short Description To coordinate legal services of the company in order to protect the interests and rights of the company under the direction and supervision of the General Counsel in a manner that meet the requirements of the legal regulation. To adopt a pro-active approach to protect the organization’s position from adverse legal exposure and develop systems and processes within the department to support effective management of legal issues.
Detailed Description
  • Coordinate the drafting of all the legal documents within the company.
  • Coordinate in preparing the form and legality of contracts, deeds, leases and other legal papers.
  • Oversee/review/draft contracts, agreements, institutional and operational modalities, legal submissions and other legal documents in order to ensure that all documents are in line with law and the interest of the company is well protected
  • Prepare opinions on different legal issues
  • Review and draft legal documents and various types of contracts
  • Prepare Agenda and minutes of meetings
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Generate or assist in generation of any departmental reports as per management request in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet company and department requirements.
  • Ensure the proper follow up before the courts, ministries and public institutions in order to obtain clearances and certificates on time.
  • Assist the operations team on various legal issues including but not limited to replying to general correspondence.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be requested by the General Counsel
  • 4+ years’ experience in practicing law in a corporate environment
  • Bachelor Degree in Law
  • Good knowledge of the Qatari statutory regulations
  • Exposure to international business transactions and a multinational environment from the legal aspects
  • Problem solving skills

  • Proficient in English and Arabic
  • Computer literacy: MS windows applications (word-processing, excel spread sheets, Power Point).
